Park Cities is also ranked as one of the most educated areas in the state. The median household income for the area is $121,084. Census shows that Highland Park/Park Cities population is 31,632, all living in 11,590 households total. The Park Cities News has been in circulation for over 70 years, and it has been focused on all that’s going on in the Highland Park/Park Cities area, reporting on local government as well as its own school districts. You’ll be close to campus, and you’ll be in a safe neighborhood with plenty of college-town conveniences. If you’re planning on going to Southern Methodist University, then you’ll want to live in University Park, where the college is located. Though you may think that the Highland Park/Park Cities apartments for rent will be high, you may find that some of these properties surprise you. This area has some of the highest per capita incomes in all of Dallas, and it’s a great place to settle down. These two municipalities share a border with one another, and they’re both surrounded by Dallas itself. Bathroom toiletries are provided in fancy bottles from the “Public Goods” brand but in reality are just filled from bulk containers of TRESemmé products (the greatest offense being that the hand soap and body wash are just shampoo…).When you hear someone tell you that they live in Park Cities, what they’re actually referring to is the area where Highland Park and University Park are located. The units are stylish and usually pretty clean but the furniture seems worn or cheap. Once the fridge was barely working and despite informing the concierge of the issue, they didn’t fix it until I complained about it again once I ended up in the same unit a few weeks later. It’s nice having a full kitchen and living room instead of being forced to eat out all the time! There are definitely some shortcuts that got a little irritating after a while though - the units aren’t kept in great repair, there’s often a burnt out light or the tub drains slow, etc. The gym is a little run down but has bikes, weights, and a rower. I’ve stayed in a variety of the units over that time and really enjoy being off the highway and in a more community-orientated location. I’ve been staying at Kasa Highlands every other week since January 2023 for work travel. Daily housekeeping services are only provided upon request at an additional cost per cleaning. This property does not have luggage storage. Nearby street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. ![]() This property has limited complimentary parking (one car per reservation).
